HISTORY

1995: Bought a cheap PA system so that my band would sound good. (I quickly discovered why cheap PA gear is cheap.) I ran sound for my band and other bands that we played with. (Thanks for the help T3D!) 1997: I tried to start up a club called Desert Moon Sound and Stage. I found out the hard (and expensive) way that the City of Tucson is not to keen on having new clubs. Six months later DMSandS closed it's doors, leaving me with no money and an upgraded sound system! 1999: My band breaks up. I continue to run sound for other bands and clubs on an infrequent basis. 2002: I hook up with Suicide Lane Productions (Thanks Nico!). I run sound 4-5 nights a week in addition to holding down a day job. (Can you say sleepy?) This gives me a crash course in sound engineering. There's nothing like trying to run sound in lots of small bars that are not designed for musical performances. On the plus side I got to work with some of the best (and worst) bands in Tucson and from around the US. 2005: I learn that Tucson Roller Derby kicks ass! Plus they have bands play between periods and they need a sound guy! This is now my only solid gig. 3 rd Saturday of each month during the season. 2006: I have started working in a studio with my friend Oliver. Nextdoorstudio.net I've just started doing live recording as well. I'm still working intermittently, constantly upgrading my equipment, and, always learning new ways to do my job better. A partial list of bands I have worked with in no particular order. Greyhound Soul (They probably don't remember me. This was my first time running sound for any band. I didn't have monitors or anything other than vocal mics. Thanks for not complaining guys!)
